Like magnolias, not all smiles are made of steel. If you think braces are the only way, think again! We’ve got options to fit every superhero, rockstar, athlete, southern belle, and #boymom’s lifestyle. You’ve got a dream, and we’re here to make it happen. If you want a healthy, confident, beautiful smile, but really don’t want to wear braces, treatment with aligners may be an option for you. Bring us your crowding, spacing, or even an overbite, and we’ll be happy to discuss whether or not clear aligners could be your solution. Invisalign begins to transform your smile from day one using a series of custom-made aligners created and designed specifically for you by Dr. Minga. Clear aligners are made of comfortable and nearly invisible plastic that easily fits over your teeth. Like a secret super power, with aligners, even your closest friends and family may never notice that you are on your way to a beautiful new smile! You can also eat whatever you want, because there are fewer dietary restrictions than with braces. No wires, no worries, brush and floss like a boss. Your individual treatment time with clear aligners may vary, but you can bet an exceptional smile at Minga Orthodontics in an exceptional experience.
Braces FAQ
LightForce brackets are revolutionizing the field of orthodontics, offering a unique blend of customization, comfort, and efficiency that sets them apart from traditional braces.
With advancements in orthodontic technology, discomfort associated with braces has significantly reduced. At Mint Orthodontics, we use LightForce brackets which are customized to fit each patient’s unique dental anatomy, ensuring superior comfort compared to traditional braces. While some discomfort is normal after adjustments or when you first get your braces, this usually subsides within a few days after adjustments.
While wearing braces, it’s best to avoid hard, sticky, or chewy foods that could damage your brackets or wires. Examples include popcorn, nuts, hard candies, and gum. We’ll provide a comprehensive list of foods to avoid when you get your braces.
This is what every patient wants to know, but it’s something we don’t have a guaranteed answer for. Every mouth is different and every patient responds to treatment in their own way. Treatment time with braces will be different every time.
The average time spent in braces is around 12 to 24 months but could be shorter or longer, depending on the individual and the treatment plan designed by Dr. Minga to ensure your smile is perfect.
Yes, visiting your dentist is as important as ever. Your orthodontist and dentist are working together to create your beautiful, healthy smile. It’s important that you still receive professional dental cleanings every 6 months, or as often as your dentist recommends.
Maintaining good oral health throughout your braces treatment is essential for achieving the best results from your orthodontic treatment, and your dentist plays a key role in that.
